As web master for
The Yorkminstrels, I creating the main logo, and all the web site graphics (sample at left),
buttons, and layout. I used Javascript to detect browser type, to animate the menus.
My favorite logo. Used the arc and having the moon as the "C" from
the professional logo, but with my own take on them. Required to have the text and at a specified
size. The buildings were created from scratch. Luckily was able to have 2 colours printed, yellow
and dark blue on the flyers, and yellow and white on dark blue sweatshirts.
My logo for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Inspired
by a graphic for software training. Turned the curls of a Corinthian column into laughing faces.
The logo for South Pacific, playing with grey and shades of spot
colour.
A concept for the logo for The Gondoliers. Modified a photo of the
hats, and put it on a pixelated music staff.
The logo for The Gondoliers that was selected. More simple than
above, but kind of plain. The show was changed, so the logo was never used.
greeting cards
Card given out at opening of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat. Used the Print Merge feature of CorelDRAW to personalize the card, with each cast
or staff member's name replacing "Name", and other text going inside.
Followed a tutorial to make a glassy button, then varied it and
copied it for this card.
Wanted an artistic card, so created the blocks, distorted them, added lines,
then used bitmap effects to add texture.
Took a stained glass window graphic provided with DRAW, and
modified it to add more depth and fade effects in some of the blocks. Added the text top and bottom
to finish it.
My Christmas card for 2002, again merging a list to replace the "Names
Here".
The cover of a 39th birthday card, and ...
... the interior of that card. The black dot covering the hot spot was not
on the original. (grin)
My first attempt at creating a flower from scratch.
Another flower I designed. See how I used variations of it inside the card,
at right.
Interior of
this card, using variations of the cover art.
Here I used a stock photo, copied it for the inset, then modified the one
for the background.
This Christmas Card for 2004 turned out better than expected. I drew the
dove myself from scratch. Quite proud of the result.
My
Christmas card for 2010 featured my take on an Eaton's Christmas Eve ad from 1978, which I had
transferred to poster board and embellished with coloured pencils.
A card with a
1970s retro design inspired by a 2011 bedspread ad.
This is what I currently put
on the back of my cards.

An attempt to make
a CD cover reflecting the late '80s
I
created a 2-CD set for my sister's 40th birthday, and created the labels for the discs.
Created album art for my
'Radio' mixed tapes, for display in Windows.
Created a sign for use while we sang Caffeine Overload Polka in a
Singing OUT! performance.
