More a catalogue for me than a way to show off or share. All my music was taken in September, 1996. I got almost all of the CDs back, except for most show albums and the few classical collections I had. So now I want to keep better track of what I have, in case I lose any more.

Also lost were seven mixed tapes of songs recorded off the radio or borrowed albums, and some mixed dance tapes, including four that I made for a Holy Union reception. I worked many long hours editing my own versions of extended mixes using a manual cassette deck, and later a mixer to blend versions. Pretty good stuff, I think. It's the loss of that work, that artistic expression, that I mourn the most.

Since then, I have learned how to mix and edit MP3s in order to recreate some of those custom versions. I have also rebuilt all my 'Radio' tapes, both those lost and returned, into digital albums. I edited tracks to replicate what I had on the tapes, even mixing in the announcements that were part of the originals, when I had them. For example, during the intro to David Roberts' "Boys of Autumn," Carl Banas says "The sound of our Toronto, this is CKFM."

Since late 2014, I have purchased and downloaded albums from online sites, such as Google Play and HMVDigital.ca. These were not originally entered into the catalogue, but I decided to slot them in based on purchased date, without assigning a number. Added a column to show the album type, either CD, or DL for downloaded. Albums downloaded from December 2015 are numbered and entered the same as actual CDs.
